To ensure that the industry unifies the common terminology, the standard will be named Wi-Fi 6E to distinguish it from the original Wi-Fi 6 standard. Currently Wi-Fi 6E is still waiting for approval from global regulatory agencies.

According to reports, the new 6GHz standard will be very suitable to promote the continuous growth of Wi-Fi. This frequency band is adjacent to 5GHz, has greater availability and wider channel size, and can be affected by traditional Wi-Fi 4 or Wi-Fi.
